Dangerous over-the-counter medications
Many human medications are not safe to give pets. Some are safe to dogs and not cats and a proper dose must be discussed with your veterinarian. Proper monitoring of blood chemistry levels should also be done.
These medications include:
- Tylenol or acetaminophen
- Ibuprofen or Advil
- Naproxen or Aleve
- toothpaste
- Kaopectate
- Pepto-Bismol
- diet medications
